Davon Goodwin Participates in FWS Conservation Career Symposium (February 2013)
Biology major Davon Goodwin was selected from more than 250 applicants to participate in the United States Fish and Wildlife Service’s (FWS) Conservation Career Symposium. The symposium was held in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, from 31 January to 3 February 2013.
For his part, Davon helped evaluate a FWS pilot program for delivering job training/workshops and career resources to students nationwide. Student feedback helps the FWS improve its educational outreach and partnerships. Davon was introduced to FWS’s mission and programs, and he received job training. FWS staff discussed key environmental issues facing the nation and strategies for safeguarding the nation’s natural resources, notably the nation's fauna and flora together with their habitats.
Davon graduated with a B.S. in Biology in May 2013.
