supplemental instruction

The mission of the Supplemental Instruction program is to positively impact student retention and academic achievement by creating and maintaining an engaged scholarship and AN interactive learning environment on campus.

What is SI:

The SI Program targets traditionally diffcult academic subjects and provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer facilitated review sessions. Upper-level students (SI Leaders) that achieved a high grade in the course lead these review sessions utilizing collaborative learning techniques. In their role as a model student, the SI Leader also attends regular class sessions, takes notes, and reads all assigned materials. SI sessions will be held at least 3 times a week.
