Customizing Reports

Reports are customized, printable Reports from Grade Center data designed to be shared with Students and Observers. Reports can be generated for all of the grades in the Grade Center, for a specific time frame such as a marking period, for a defined group of Students or for a defined Category of grades.

Reports are read-only and set to print details for one user per page. A preview option is available. When clicking Preview, the Report opens in a new browser window and can be printed using the browser Print operation. Individual pages in the Report cannot be selected for printing.

Information can be included in the reports such as:
  1. Header Information
  2. Users
  3. User Information
  4. Columns
  5. Column Information
  6. Footer Information


Header Information

The following information can be included in the Header of the Report:

  • Report Name: Required.
  • Date: Date the Report was created.
  • Institution Name: The default Institution Name.
  • Course Information: The Course Name and Course ID.
  • Instructor Names: Read only.
  • Teaching Assistant Names: Read only.
  • Custom Text: Add any other text to be shown in the header.


Users

Select which students to include in the Report. All users in the Grade Center can be selected or users can be selected by Group. Hold the Shift key down and click the first user and the last user to select a group of users from the list. Hold the Ctrl key down and click each name to add several users scattered throughout the list.

 

User Information

Select the student information to include in the Report.

 

Columns

Select which Columns to include in the Report. All Columns can be selected or Columns can be selected by Grading Period or Category. Hold the Shift key down and click the first Column and the last Column to select a group of Columns from the list. Hold the Ctrl key down and click each Column to add several Columns scattered throughout the list.

 

Column Information

The grade for the Column is automatically added to the Report. Select other information, including Statistics, if desired.

 

Footer Information

The following information can be included in the Footer of the Report:

  • Custom Text: Add any other text to be displayed in the footer.
  • Signature Line: Add a line for a signature to the Report.
  • Date: Date the Report was created.
  • Course Information: The Course Name and Course ID.
