UNCP earns ‘Military Friendly’ designation for 2014

GI Jobs magazine has named UNC Pembroke to its list of “Military Friendly” schools for 2014. read more...

UNCP Graduate Students presenting at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference.

The NSTA Regional conference is being held November 7th-9th in Charlotte with several UNCP graduate students and faculty are presenting their research. Ursula Adams, David Wimert, and Corinne Jordan are presenting "Bringing Scientific Argumentation into the Science Classroom” with Dr. Rita Hagevik. Chris Spencer, and Jennifer Spivey are presenting "Let's Argue About It!" with Dr. Hagevik, as well.

  • Graduate Education Day with Legislators
    Graduate Poster Session winners Lia Gilleski and Kelly Fenwick, both students in the MPA program, represented UNCP at the Graduate Education Day held in the first floor quads of the legislative complex in Raleigh on May 22. The annual event is part of Graduate Education Week. Gilleski and Fenwish were winners of the March 25 UNCP Graduate Student Poster Research competition. Read more...
  • $500 Scholarhip Winners
    Congratulations to Teresa Strickland $500 and Charles Williams  $500. Each won a $500 scholarship randomly drawn from those graduate students who registered during the early registration period for the spring semester of 2014.
  • Grad student research is relevant, practical learning
    UNC Pembroke graduate students put their research on display on March 25 at the 2013 Graduate Research Poster Session and Open House.The event attracted more than 50 student research projects. The projects proved instructional on many levels and relevant to professional careers.

  • Masters of Science in Nursing. UNCP is proud to announce that the UNC Board of Governors approved the request to establish a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The first class of students is anticipated to begin in fall 2013. Additional information is forthcoming.

  • Counseling Programs Earn Accreditation. UNCP’s Clinical Mental Health Program and the Professional School Counseling Program have earned accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs. Read more...
