SBTDC Website Analysis The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) has funding for intern to provide website analysis for local small businesses. This includes receiving training to use the tools to do the analysis.
UNCP Web Migration

UNC Pembroke is in search of several Web Content Migration Specialists (WCMS) to assist with the migration of HTML/Dreamweaver websites into the Drupal content management system. This is a one-month contract in-house project at 20-30 hours per week. Candidates who are computer/tech savvy and who have experience working within any content management systems (CMS) are encouraged to apply.

WCMS' will transfer thousands of pages of web content from static web pages to the Drupal CMS. This project is slated to run for approximately one month, starting the third week of January 2014.

Day-to-day responsibilities include the migration of website content and related tasks including cutting and pasting content, which includes text, images, Word, Excel and PDF documents. Light editing of the content may also be part of the project. Some training will be provided on Drupal, Dreamweaver and Photoshop but successful candidates will have working knowledge of these programs.

WCMS' will be managed by the University Web Publisher in the Office of University Communications and Marketing.

Job Requirements
  • Must have a working knowledge of Drupal or similar CMS
  • Working knowledge of computer software such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, as well as experience with social media, HTML and CSS.
  • Must be able to create and edit images using software tools such as Adobe Photoshop
  • Detailed and organized - strong command of English language
  • Positive attitude required. We are looking for individuals who ALWAYS take pride in their work; no matter how great or small the task.
  • Be able to work with competing deadlines and projects
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Good understanding of a website architecture, website navigation, and website taxonomy
  • Must have a proven record of reliability and trust
  • Must be focused and committed to staying on task
  • Must meet daily and weekly goals for number of pages migrated to new website
