IF YOU'RE BRAVE BE GREEN

Help the Office of Housing and Residence Life is taking steps towards the conservation of water and energy in addition to our current recycling efforts. In the long run it will help save resources, money and ultimately our environment. Click on the links below for information and tips on how to reduce, reuse, recycle and conserve.  The Housing & Residence Life Top 10 “Go Green” list will provide you with the top 10 things you can do within the Residence Halls to reduce, reuse, recycle and conserve.

"GO GREEN" COMPETITION
In addition, Housing & Residence Life is sponsoring a "Go Green" Energy  & Water Conservation Competition. During the next 6 months, we will compare water and energy consumption to a 2012 baseline during the same time frame the residence hall or apartment complex with the highest percentage of energy reduction will win the competition.

HERE’S HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Visit our website at www.uncp.edu/housing and click on the "GO GREEN" link for the TOP 50 Go Green Tips for College Students.  Take the pledge to “Go Green” online.  Each person who signs-up will be entered into a monthly drawing for great “Go Green Prize Packs!”  In addition their names will appear on our "Go Green" Pledge Signers Wall" on the website.

ENERGY PATROL:

Housing and Residence Life staff will be conducting energy patrols throughout the residence halls to help identify “energy wasters” and “energy conservers.”  If you are observed conserving energy, you will receive a special treat from the Energy Patrol!
