Sick leave credits earned at the rate of 8
hours each month or 96 hours
each year shall be provided for full-time or part-time employees with
a permanent, probationary, trainee, or time-limited permanent appointment.
Sick leave may be accumulated indefinitely and may be used to extend an
employee's creditable service upon retirement. In addition, vacation leave
in excess of 240 hours (30 days) on December 31 of each year shall be
converted to sick leave. Sick leave may be taken off in 1/4 hour increments.

submit a doctor's certificate to verify sick leave.
Sick leave is not allowable in terminal leave payments when an employee separates from State service. When you retire, your accumulated sick leave days are changed into retirement credits. Twenty sick leave days or portion thereof equal one month's service.
Sick leave shall be reinstated when an employee returns from authorized leave without pay or when reinstated within five years from any type of separation.
