You are about to embark on a wonderful - and life-changing - adventure that will expand your horizons, enhance your knowledge, and give you the skills needed to succeed in today's international economy. You will also have a terrific time, make new life-long friends, and begin to develop an international network that will serve you well long into the future.

 

Ok, so where do you begin? First of all, remember that we are here for you. We understand that you will have lots of questions and that participating in international education can be intimidating at first. Most every member of the Center for International Programs staff has international experience, so we know what you are going through - we have "been there" too!

International Degree-Seeking Students
(Not CHEPD or other partner universities)

  • Incoming First-Year Students.
  • Transfer Students.
  • Graduate Students.

Once you have been accepted into UNCP, the Center for International Programs will be able to issue you the I-20 or DS-2019 that you will need so that you may apply for your student visa. Once accepted, you will also have full access to the full range of services that the International Programs office offers.

Exchange and Short-Term (Transient) Students

Exchange and Short-Term students do not necessarily apply directly to UNCP.

  • Exchange students should consult their local advisors.
  • Short-term Study Abroad (non-degree-seeking students) should contact the UNCP Study Abroad office.

Sino-American Cooperation on Higher Education and Professional Development (CHEPD)

The Center for International Programs extends a very special welcome to applicants and families at our many CCIEE universities in China. Our CHEPD numbers continue to grow each year, and we are looking forward to welcoming you soon to UNCP.
