Research Module Three

Finding Business News Videos

For Professor Wendt's course you will be required to locate a number of journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, as well as video and World Wide Web resources. This module will help you get started with locating business news videos, which are for the mostpart freely available on the World Wide Web.

If you have questions about research, please feel free to contact Michael Alewine for assistance.

Using Google Videos

Probably one of the best starting places is Google Videos. It indexes videos found around the Web, including those in YouTube. It also allows for various search limits

Start at Google's homepage - http://www.google.com and click the Videos link (see image below).

You will then see the Google Videos search screen. Enter your keywords and then click the Search Videos button (see image below).

Sorting Video Results

You will next see your video results list with more than 10,000 results. You can limit by date range. In example, clicking the Past year link will display only videos posted within the last year (see image below).

You can also limit by source, such as from youtube.com (see image below).

Linking to Videos

There are many ways to access/present these videos - the most simple way is by including the link in your presentation (see image below).

You can also embed YouTube videos into a PowerPoint presentation - click here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hChq5drjQl4 to see an instructional video concerning this process.
