Provost candidate interview scheduled

The fourth candidate for the position of Provost will be on campus Jan. 27 to Jan. 28.

Dr. Kenneth D. Kitts is currently the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. Dr. Kitts earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and his Master's and Bachelor's degrees in that field from Appalachian State. He is a native of Waynesville, N.C. He received the University's Distinguished Professor award from Francis Marion.

There will be an Open Forum with Dr. Kitts for faculty, staff and students on Jan. 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the University Annex. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the forum and ask questions.

Dr. Kitts is the fourth candidate to be interviewed for the Provost position this year. Other candidates were Dr. Kevin Lambert, Dr. Peg Gray-Vickery and Dr. Debra Thatcher.
