Carrie Jacobs prepares a meal at the C&P Mini Mart on Union Chapel Road.

The C&P mini mart on Union Chapel Road is known for their 100 percent real whole foods. Everything that C&P serves is farm fresh.

Kenny Johnson is a 10- year regular, who says he eats at C&P everyday, at least for breakfast. He said the ladies that work at C&P are friendly and the food is a fair price.

Johnson said the food has been the same quality for 10 years.

C&P has lunch specials every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The heart of the restaurant is in the workers.

Pembroke native Carrie Jacobs has worked for C&P for three years. She said she loves to cook, and her favorite meal to make is the steak hoagie. Jacobs said, "We don't pour our eggs, we crack them. Everything we have here is real and fresh."

Cashier Patricia Parker said she loves the chili and the chicken salad. "This is not the chicken salad you get out of the container. It's made with real ingredients," she said.

C&P also serves homemade cake slices made from scratch by Lindor Baker. C&P restaurant is connected to the BP gas station at 707 Union Chapel Road. Pembroke.
