Suspect charged with assault on female

A female student invited a man into her Pine Hall dorm room to study, and they ended up watching a movie.  Both fell asleep together, and he was groping her, according to Detective Ed Locklear of Campus Police. "She woke up and he was in bed with her," said Locklear.

According to Detective Locklear, the suspect has been charged with assault on a female. His name was not released at this time.

Beggar banned from campus
William Clark Locklear, of Mercer Apartments on W. 3rd Street, was banned for campus for one year, according to Campus Police.

Locklear was sitting outside of the University Center begging students, faculty and staff for money.

He was reported to Campus Police.

Officers escorted Locklear to the Campus Police department where he was searched.

Officers found a pocketknife, and told him that he cannot beg for money on campus.

According to NC Statute 269.2, it is a criminal offense to possess a gun or other weapon on the campus of UNC Pembroke, which is why Locklear was banned from campus.
