The Student Editors for The Pine Needle, the campus newspaper, and the Indianhead, the campus yearbook, were selected by the Student Publications Board on April 4.

Amanda Hickey, a senior journalism major from Jacksonville, will be Editor of The Pine Needle. Hickey began working on The Pine Needle as crime beat reporter, then senior staff writer, then News Editor.

"I'm looking forward to a great year for The Pine Needle under Amanda's leadership," said Dr. Judy Curtis, faculty adviser.

Katrina Hampton, a junior business administration major from Eden, will be Editor of  the Indianhead.

Hampton worked as Co-Editor for the Academics section for the yearbook and also served as an administrative assistant.

Faculty Adviser to the Indianhead Sara Oswald is confident about next year.

“We are sure with her administrative skills from her background in business and her motivational skills from her background in cheerleading as well as her many other talents she will do a great job as the new Editor in chief of the Indianhead,” Oswald said.
The Editor for The Aurochs, the campus literary magazine, has yet to be named.

The Editors will begin in fall 2007.
