UNCP tennis moves to 2-0 this season

For the third consecutive season the Lady Braves tennis team won their home opener on Feb. 10 with a 5-4 decision over Pfeiffer at UNCP Varsity Tennis Courts. UNCP has now won three of the last four meetings with Pfeiffer as the Black and Gold’s Hannah Harling delivered the decisive point and game clinching victory with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Madeleine Billeter.

The Lady Braves are 2-0 in 2008 after defeating North Carolina Central on the road, 6-1 on Feb. 9. Facing little resistance against North Carolina Central, the Lady Braves won four of six singles matches in straight sets as the Braves only loss came in the No. 1 doubles.
