For the first time in the Women's Tennis program history, one of its players was recognized for being named to the Capital One Academic All-District team.

Senior Mia Winterbottom received the honors for her hard work on and off the tennis court.

A Sydney, Australia, native, Winterbottom was one of 12 players selected for the all-district team after posting a 12-9 record in singles during the 2013 season to conclude her college career.

She also is one of three PBC players selected to the team.

The senior also became the first-ever Lady Brave to be regionally ranked by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
